Giving

If you have a friend, family member or business associate with a disability you have some small understanding of the challenges they face on a daily basis and the help they need to live a safe, happy and independent life. Despite their amazing courage and determination, whether young or old, these individuals at some time have to rely on others. We are proud to say that the big hearts and innovative spirit of UDS are here to help them and their families when the need arises.

Support is vital as the need keeps growing
Some of us are born with disabilities. Others find their lives forever changed by debilitating injuries or illnesses while many acquire their disabilities as a result of normal aging. Whether personally or through a loved one, we will all be affected sometime in our lives by physical limitations that threaten our independence, our happiness, and our ability to stay in the comfort of our own home. Often, institutional care is not the best, kindest or most cost-effective answer. UDS is here to help those with disabilities and the elderly with in-home personal care and independent-living support services that dramatically improve their lives.

Please help us help others
We are a results-oriented, not-for-profit organization with the knowledge and experience to help improve the lives of individuals with disabilities and the elderly. But the sad truth is that today far too many people simply can't afford the help they need. Many of the important services and programs UDS provides to individuals with disabilities are possible only through the generous contributions of local individuals and businesses. That's why we're asking that you open your heart and give a much-needed gift that will help us meet the needs of those who otherwise might face institutionalization or lives without the dignity and happiness they deserve.

Every gift, large and small, is important because it helps us provide much-needed services. Take comfort in knowing that 95 cents of every dollar goes directly to the services and programs that benefit individuals with disabilities. There are many ways to contribute - donations, sponsorships, planned giving, workplace giving, through our capital and endowment campaigns, and by volunteering. If you would like more information about how your money will be used, call our Development Office at 800-995-9581.
